In our thirty plus years dealing with exotic cars it is rare to be blown away by a car and its provenance.
Make no mistake his is no ordinary run of the mill E Type, it comes with a three-inch file, which weights about 3lbs in weight, inside you will find what can only be described as ‘classic car heaven’ the mileage is fully documented back to the early 70’s. It will take a prospective buyer several hours to fully assimilate this, good job we do nice coffee!
This includes an eight-page spreadsheet painstakingly and lovingly detailing every service, nut, bolt, tyre, brake pad, plug, battery and wiper blade fitted between 1976 and 1999!
The Icing on the cake is the presence of just about every MOT dating back to 1976!
And now the ‘pièces de résistance’……….
Just after the turn of the Century the car was purchased by the world famous fashion designer ‘JEFF BANKS JEANS’
They commissioned Hofmann’s of Henley, who are arguably one of the UK’s finest Jaguar restorers to carry out a nut and bolt restoration of the car, which included a bare metal re-spray to black.
You name it, they did it!
This is all fully documented by detailed invoices, which are mind blowing, cost simply wasn’t on the agenda for this project!  This was all in aid of a marketing campaign launching a new line of Jeans in 2007.
The car was rebuilt and unveiled at a ceremony in London in April 2007 followed by a huge and very expensive photo shoot.
Condition wise, she’s, as you would expect beautiful, this is thanks to the money that has been spent meticulously and lovingly restoring her to the queen of the open roads.  All of the normal problem E type areas have not only been addresses but also treated to ensure she outlives any present day big cat.
She is HPI clear and the last MOT was carried out in June 2017 at 172,124 Miles with no Advisories to report.
We are currently fitting a brand new clutch and we will also conduct a final vehicle health check prior to collection!
